Quantification of Intangible Cultural Assets

Intangible cultural assets (ICA) are heritage wealth and refer to shared intergenerational knowledge, skills, and customs. While ICAs give a sense of identity to individuals and communities, they are also constantly evolving. This process of evolution, with individuals and communities at the center, makes it important to assess how ICAs are contributing to economic well-being. The role of the state in the protection, preservation, and promotion of ICAs, thus, is of paramount interest.
