State Policy Dialogue is an initiative of Indicc - a non-partisan firm dedicated to aiding state (sub-national) action for national development. The aim of state policy dialogues is to usher in a constructive and meaningful engagement of government, regulators, businesses, researchers, legislators investors and think tanks on various issues that concern climate, economy, livelihood, public services, infrastructure, technology, tarde, competition, innovation et al. As states are the engines of India's economy, it is important that they are aligned to fundamental national goals and vice versa. The policy dialogues are meant to be non-political and non- partisan, and aim to generate a coherent approach to growth and development. The initiative comes on the back of a body of work done by Indicc at sub-national level across diverse areas like health, education, PPP, Green Infrastructure, fiscal management, urbanisation, agriculture, energy, water, e-commerce, trade, institutional calibration, cultural economy, consumer empowerment and tech policy amongst others. Our aim is to break silos of ideas, thoughts and approaches, and make it a truly beneficial engagement for all. To stir up the discussion, Indicc will develop state chapters and will aim to synthesise common learning approaches as well.
